Rock Band downloads of the week: Week of 3/2/2012

On Tuesday March 6th, three singles hit the Rock Band store. Look for a track from Mastodon’s newest album, The Hunter. A classic punk-pop band brings a new single to the game, the first song since Girls & Boys on LEGO Rock Band. So be on the lookout for “The Anthem” by Good Charlotte, a definite must-have. And finally, look for Portland, Oregon’s own Everclear, who bring “Santa Monica” to the set to round off the week. Each song will be available for 160 Microsoft points on Xbox Live.

  • Everclear – “Santa Monica” X
  • Good Charlotte – “The Anthem”
  • Mastodon – “Curl of the Burl”

Thursday, March 1st saw the release of 7 songs on the Rock Band Network. The ones that stood out the most (in my opinion) was Hope & Ruin by the Trews, which played a lot on 102.1 The Edge, as well as “Mystery Train” by Jerry Naylor, a popular song from a rare decade, even to the Rock Band series, being release in the late 1950s.

  • Engel – “Sense the Fire (2x Bass Pedal)” (160 MSP)
  • The Faceless – “XenoChrist” (160 MSP)
  • Swound! – “In My Head” (80 MSP)
  • Gatling – “Absolute” (80 MSP)
  • Sunny Side Up – “Corporate Control” (80 MSP)
  • Jerry Naylor – “Mystery Train” (160 MSP)
  • The Trews – “Hope & Ruin” (80 MSP)
