Soundgarden to release first new album in 16 years, “King Animal”

Its been 16 years since the 90s grunge quartet that is Seattle’s Soundgarden released an album.

1996’s Down on the Upside, which featured stand-out hits like “Pretty Noose”, “Burden in my Hand” and “Blow Up the Outside World”, was the last we would see from the band for more than a decade.

That is until the band’s reunion during the year 2010, where they released a compilation album, “Telephantasm: A Retrospective”, and more recently, we saw their name tied to the recent Avengers film with their single, “Live to Rise”.

“King Animal” is the name of their latest album, which is set for release on Nov. 13 this year.

The band’s first single off the album, “Been Away Too Long”, is set for release on Wed. Sep. 19, and like the title says, they have been away for far too long. But now, they’re back.
